Proud moment ahead !!

 It’s official, I’m now a Uni student studying a Graduate Certificate in Suicide Prevention Studies which is part of a Masters in Suicidology.

2 weeks into the course and i'm starting to get my head around it all.

This is a huge thing for me and I'd like to thank and acknowledge Psychiatrist Dr Ashar Khan and Psychologist Shaun Bergoff (pictured here) from the Gold Coast Specialist Clinic. These two guys have been my saviours over the past 4-5 years.

They've helped me both overcome major depression and manage my ADD to a point where I'm now in a position to confidently undertake this study and learn from world leaders in Suicide Prevention and Research.

There is no shame in seeking help, there is only positive things to come out of finding the right people and sticking with them.

Yes I still have daily things to work on, only now I have the right tools and strategies to cope with whatever may come my way. Thanks to these guys, at 45 yrs of age, I'm a Uni student for the first time, studying in a very specialised field, it's quite daunting and exciting at the same time.

So now it’s time to knuckle down and get into it …
